THE 5 R’s OF RESTORING THE GUT AND BRAIN
Do you suffer from bloating, gas, indigestion, diarrhea, constipation, cramping, candida, parasites, foggy mind, mood swings, depression, chronic fatigue, troubled sleep, bad skin, weak immunity, or worse?
Natural healing and modern medicine can agree that certain principles of restoring gut health have survived the test of time and are universal for all.
Keep in mind that when you restore gut health, you restore brain health. Why? Because neurotransmitters are primarily made in the gut. The health of the microbiome in your gut directly affects not only your brain, but your emotions as well.
The 5 R’s
Remove
Remove the stressors on the bio-terrain within your gut. Stressors include food allergens, fungal overgrowth, pathogenic bacteria and parasites as well as an unclean environment. Using carefully selected antimicrobials, antifungals, pre- and probiotics, absorptive agents, and the proper elimination diet you can remove years of intestinal plaque, toxins and pathogens.
Replace
Replace digestive enzymes, secretions, and bacterial metabolic byproducts which nurture the right flora in the GI-tract. These include hydrochloric acid, bile salts, pancreatic enzymes and bicarbonates, short chain fatty acids and vitamins.
Repair
Repair defects in the mucous lining the gut. These include glutamic and butyric acid, demulcents, surfactants, and polysaccharide glyconutrients. Also repair distention, prolapse and peristaltic action of the intestines. This can be done with the aid of a qualified gut health specialist, usually a colon hydrotherapist as well. There are very few of these people left who follow the Jensen protocol.
Re-inoculate
Re-inoculate with beneficial human strain bacteria to reestablish proper ecology in the gut. Some human strain probiotics include L. Salivarius, L. Plantarum and Rhamnouses.
Revitalize
Revitalization is the gift of completing your bioterrain remediation. Restoring the proper intestinal shape and action, restoring normal autonomic functioning, regularity, hydration and proper cellular metabolism, restoring symbiosis of microbes, enterochromaffin cells, and the intestinal lining, restoring immune function and organ health with ultimately revitalize a person and make them strong to handle anything.
After all, courage is also called intestinal fortitude. Do these 5 steps right and be very happy with yourself or do it wrong and suffer in pain and frustration.
